See you all there!!!

Semester 2 Announcements.

Hey guys! Here are some announcements by our lovely pres Jp and our ultra-friendly treasurer Lok.

Diversity week:
We're performing at lunchtime on the 11th of August for Diversity week and still need performers!!! Please drop an email to Jp if you haven't already replied to David, if you are able to perform.

WTPA competition:
The 12th WTPA Wushu and Taijiquan competition is to be held on Sunday the 29th of August at Monash University. Everyone is eligible to enter and encourage you all to attend, either to compete or to support the team. If you wish to compete haven't already filled in a form, please print off the document linked below and bring it to training on Tuesday (at the latest!) If you can't make it to training, either find Jp before then and she can help you organise sending in the form but of course, you're more than welcome to handle matters yourself!

Lok says:
Performances are perhaps the funnest and most rewarding part of being a MUTW-er. It does not matter whether you're a beginner or not, as we would always have something you can do in a performance. Don't miss this awesome opportunity to have plenty of fun and level up your wushu skills!

Hoodies:
Another batch of club hoodies are here so if you've ordered one, please see a committee member at training to pay and pick it up. If you'd like to order one, once again, just find a committee member.

Weapons:
As you may have noticed, the Club has recently acquired shiny, spanking new swords for your pure enjoyment. However all good stuff comes with a price (as per fine wine and starcraft 2). The swords (with tassles) are available for purchase @ $50 each (rrp $58). These swords are, in a sword fanatic's (Lok's) opinion, higher quality than those you would find in stores at this price (rightly balanced, thicker blades, more durable handles) making them a perfect choice as a solid training sword for beginners.

However, should you choose not to buy them and do not have one to train with, the club now rents out weapons (sword/ sabre/ cudgel) for $2 per training, starting from week 2 of this semester. In order to make this hire scheme more systematic, student IDs will be collected and returned when you return the rented weapon. Unfortunately at this stage , club weapons may not be brought home (except for performance purposes, which special arrangements would be made).

Be sure to grab yours early to avoid disappointment!

Membership Fees (Sem 2):
Please pass the fees to Lok by week 2 of this semester.

Have a sweet, sweet semester ahead!
